Our friendly team spent their annual summer corporate party in Turkey.
We went to sunny Alanya, where we were in 2018, which again greeted us with a warm sea and hot weather.
We had an overnight flight, and despite the fact that everyone slept little, upon arrival we immediately headed to the beach. We celebrated the beginning of our corporate party with delicious cocktails and immediately went swimming in the sea. The first day of our vacation was quite lazy, we swam, played cards on the pier and enjoyed the warmth of the sun's rays. In the evening, we changed clothes, went to dinner and attended a live music concert on the pier.
In the morning, we got up early and went to the already passed and native places. We rented two cars to easily get to the necessary places in comfort. The first point of our journey was Mount Alarahan. Many of our employees had already been here, but there were also many newcomers for whom climbing the mountain was new. We climbed through the caves to the first level of the cave, met familiar bats, and even a sand crab. Some of us climbed to the very top, and someone was satisfied with the first level and hurried down. We celebrated the ascent to the mountain in a nearby restaurant on the water at the foot of the mountain. After having a snack, we went on. The second point on our way was Green Lake. We had also been there several years ago, and from memory we tried to get to the descent into the lake. Alas, everything had changed a little and we, under the scorching sun, were forced to go back along a not very smooth road. But we are not discouraged, because despite the fact that we could not reach the goal, we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.
We decided that despite everything, we still had to find a swimming place and went to Manavgat. Thanks to the fact that we were by car all day, we were able to enjoy the amazing views along the road. We went up the serpentine, drove along the dam, and went down.
Finally reaching Manavgat, we found a cozy restaurant also located on the water. We enjoyed traditional cuisine and, having gained strength after difficult hikes, went to the lake. The guys had a small competition, who would jump into the water with more splashes, or vice versa, with less.
After that, we went to the lost city of Selyavka. This is one of the most ancient lost cities on the Mediterranean coast. We studied the remains of an ancient civilization, the remains of Roman baths, temples and the main square. Some guys, seeing a sign for the Necropolis, ran off headlong to search. Unfortunately, they never found it, but they did find a turtle, which they gave some water. It was a very interesting excursion.
We finished this eventful day by going to a disco on the pier. The pleasant atmosphere and cocktails made even the most shy ones dance.
The third day started early again. After a hearty breakfast and taking water with us, we headed to the center of Alanya. We started the day with a visit to the small cave Damlataş. Unlike the cave we visited on the second day, Damlataş is ennobled and illuminated. Damlataş is the central attraction of Alanya, and is located in its very heart.
After the cave, several of us headed to Kleopatra Beach to swim. The water in the sea was azure and transparent. We also caught local teenage boys jumping into the sea from the rocks. From the outside it seemed very scary, but for them it is a usual activity.
After that, we headed to the cable car "Alanya Teleferik", connecting Kleopatra Beach and Alanya Hill. The ascent took no more than five minutes, the maximum height of the ascent is 161 meters (528ft), from which a magnificent view of the city opens up.
We bought a one-way ticket for the funicular so that we could climb even higher up the mountain on our own and then walk down. We walked around the fortress grounds and began our descent.
It took a long time to descend. But as always, it was fun. Encouraging those who were already running out of strength.
As soon as we got down, we decided to go have a snack. After visiting a local cafe, we headed to the embankment in search of a boat for a sea trip.
Having chosen a suitable boat, which knocked us off our feet, we headed to the open sea. In an hour, we went around the mountain and saw Cleopatra Beach again, but from the other side. Also on the mountain, we were able to see mountain goats, which in an absolutely vertical state easily moved along the mountain. We enjoyed the sunset in the sea and took pictures. Everyone could feel like a captain, having climbed to the top floor of the boat. On the way back, we met a sea turtle, the final representative of the Turkish fauna.
We spent this evening in the hotel lobby sharing impressions of the past day.
We spent the final day of our corporate party at the hotel. We enjoyed the spa area, sauna and bathhouse. We spent the rest of the day by the pool, swimming in the water and in the sun. This corporate event turned out to be very eventful and fun. We acquired internal phrases and jokes, which really united our already friendly team.☺
