DEVELOPMENT OF THE 5NINE SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE SCANNER

The goal of the project was to create 5nine Security and Compliance Scanner, a product designed to scan the security of Windows servers and virtual machines running Microsoft Hyper-V.

The product is based on 5nine Security for Hyper-V, has limited functionality, but is completely free to use.The main purpose of the free version is to inform about existing weak points in the virtual infrastructure from a security point of view.5nine Security and Compliance Scanner has the following functionality:

• Management via a central management console.

• Multi-level protection for the Hyper-V hypervisor.

• Real-time traffic monitoring and filtering for multiple hosts and virtual machines.

• Agentless anti-virus and anti-malware modules.

• Simplified virtual firewall (as opposed to the full-fledged one in the full version) based on the Windows Filtering Platform.
